GTCR's Six3 Systems to Purchase Harding

We've written before about DC Capital's NISC, it's platform for acquiring firms in the Defense and Government IT Services sector. Private Equity firm GTCR has its own platform called Six3 Systems, and together they just announced they will be acquiring Harding Security Associates (HSA). From the press release on Business Wire:

HSA is a leading provider of identity intelligence, forensics analysis and security services to the federal government. With more than 350 highly trained employees, HSA is at the forefront of the Department of Defense’s (“DoD”) biometric-enabled intelligence analysis and forensics mission. The Company also provides mission-critical intelligence and counter-intelligence training and security services to the DoD and key civilian agencies.

Government Services Acquisition Platform Led by Robert Coleman

Security Systems News points us to a press release from private equity firm GTCR announcing their launch of a new Government Services platform specializing in homeland security and intelligence.

GTCR, one of the nation’s leading private equity firms, today announced it has entered into a partnership with Robert Coleman to form Six3 Systems, Inc. (“Six3 Systems”). The new company, headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, will focus on building a leading government services platform specializing in national security and defense intelligence. Mr. Coleman will serve as Chief Executive Officer of Six3 Systems.

The reference from SSN wonders what they will find to buy... but judging by the speed to market of NISC, backed by DC Capital, this space should have enough deal flow to sustain a new venture.
